Toby is the Senior Market Operations & Responsibility Manager at ion ventures, an international energy transition specialist, where he focuses on preparing BESS projects for financial close and into operation. More long-term he guides projects through market evolution, policy and regulatory change, and is leading purpose-led development through Responsibility & Impact.

He has held positions across the electricity industry, focusing on flexibility throughout. Starting at UKPN as an analyst then a project manager on the Low Carbon London programme gave a grounding in networks and flexibility. Commodity design, markets, policy and regulation, and C&I customer needs came after that through product development at Orsted, then consultant and commercial roles at Veolia and GRIDSERVE before joining ion.
